Good: Calculating very tedious math, identifying things in images. Terrible: Image generation, shopping (100% dead links or discontinued products and incorrect specs). OK: repair and mechanical. When I ask about things I'm super familiar with it, it makes many, massive mistakes, which makes me weary about the accuracy of information I'm getting on subjects I'm not a familiar with. At this point, in many ways it's wasting my time to the point that the subscription fee seems very high.

Wastes tokens by repeatedly drawing the same image multiple times, even when you specify that you're entering in a new prompt. Having it recycle the same image to burn up tokens to get you to sign up for premium access is a total scam. No thanks, not paying for access, just to have Grok screw up the drawings while flat out ignoring new prompts. Horrible way to sell a "premium" product.

Severe usability issues plague this app. Models are ok, but the app is barely usable. Accidentally tip your screen and the orientation flips? Your prompt is gone. Tip your screen during voice mode? Shuts off w/ no notification, prompt erased. Screen goes to sleep during voice mode (isn't kept on by app), and when it does, voice mode shuts off, prompt erased, so you can't actually converse. I think at this point I've lost as many prompts as I've been able to submit. None of this w/ ChatGPT.

I tried the "free" version for a few days, and was very impressed with the responses. I was excited to try the voice capability and the different modes like "unhinged." But when I purchased a SuperGrok subscription, discovered that voice communication and the different modes were iOS version only! So I cancelled my subscription and am requesting a refund until those features are available on the Android version.

A very good AI and app, not to mention having it on a phone is convenient. The phone is only missing 'Deeper'Search (and probably for a valid reason compared to web based grok). As an example for support, the app was fixed while I was sleeping. That is awesome support so thank you!. Pixel 9 phone here. Used to do this as a dev fix stuff while others were sleeping. now I can truly appreciate it.

Fantastic AI. My favorite that I've used so far. Liked it so much that I subscribed. I've already used it for goal-setting, spit-balling ideas, introspection, and planning. It's done a great job with almost every task I've given it. Edit: Right after review, having used it for hours, things got bad. Paying for Super Grok, it constantly gets errors when I'm asking questions or giving input. My main conversation with a big plan and lots of context got deleted and completely lost. Overloaded?

I did a search for a new place to move to and was amazed at the thoroughness of the results. I provided several details about my desired characteristics in my question, and found the various options that came back in the answer well reasoned, uncannily responsive and useful in my search. I'm very impressed with the Grok tool and the technology behind it.

So far, so good! But the experience between the mobile web version and the mobile app so far have not been the same (which is expected, but not in the way you would think). For example, Workspaces, a new Grok feature, is available on the mobile web version but not the Android app, which is disappointing. However. Grok Voice Mode is super fun, despite the voice sounding more robotic than on other platforms like OpenAI's ChatGPT.

This thing is practically useless without a 30 dollar a month subscription. After just a short conversation it stopped saying you have to subscribe, switching it to grok 2 you continue a little longer but eventually the same prompt saying that you have to subscribe comes up. If it was like five bucks a month I'd probably pay but 30 is too much for my casual uses.

Very useful. Remembers past key information that links with current questions and provides good quality answers across the board. App can be made better with; - Pre-sets that allow me to choose metric as default for example - Needs quicker response times occasionally - Doesn't need to repeat context every time I follow up with questions - xAI needs to form partnerships with more siloed information hubs for high quality sources of data

Grok is my goto AI platform for everything except image generation. I will use Adobe Firefly for images but that's because I'm looking for a more distinct and professional look to the images. However, Grok AI has been incredible in terms of medical help and understanding the medical field. Along with various other topics I've asked for assistance with.

Justin Arnold

I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoy using Grok. Grok literally took the words out of my mouth. "Grok is an incredibly helpful and engaging AI assistant. It provides accurate, thoughtful answers and makes conversations fun and seamless." Couldn't have said it better myself. Super thoughtful and empathetic to a fault. It is truly an innovative and groundbreaking AI assistant.

It's infuriating that when you try to upload photos only camera, screenshots, and download folders are available. I checked my permissions, there aren't even permissions to allow all videos and photos on your phone. this is such a frustrating stupid design in several apps and I'm not going to give it more than one star until they fix this basic feature that should be available. If you go to upload file and then go to the folders with the picture you want to upload you're not allowed to upload.

There is one problem that I would like to convey. When I asked it to derive a formula, then with the formula it gave a text information about the formula in a bracket but the problem is that the text doesn't have any space. Like it writes (Thenegativesigndepends) instead of (The negative sign depends). This makes it a little inconvenient and problematic sometimes. One more thing it should have a "read out loud" feature. If it already has then the button should appear.

With just a few days of using it Grok has won me and became one of my fav ones that I use it helps me understand things easier, sumerizes long info that take ages to finish consuming into a more easy to digest one, and helps with bunch of other things and the upcoming image editor which is a unique one ( I haven't used yet since I don't use the web version but hope it comes to the app ) would be a game changer either u can add, remove or modify things in the images. Ty for reading

although not 100% correct on all its answers it is a very useful tool. It does not have access to all the data that it needs. I cannot listen to the audio a videos on the X platform and neither on the YouTube platform. it also cannot read the subtitles on the YouTube platform. hopefully this changes in the future.

Scott Martin

while I would still choose Grok over GPT any day, I have to be honest I'm disappointed with the voice mode. I paid the $30 a month just to get access to it. It was working fine but started cutting in and out as Grok was replying. Also it won't connect the first time, but if I cancel the connection and restart it, it connects. Disappointed to see a brilliant team really struggling to get it working on Android. Many low budget teams seem to do it just fine. Stopped showing it to friends...

Aaron Wolf

Needs work, a lot of work in a sense. Especially with how sensitive and twitchy it is. I've had to write out entire sections 3 times now because my screen either flipped or something else triggered, and my written out chat was erased. The screen flip also messed up an entire chat, completely misplacing where all the previous chats and responses were, ruining everything.

Jessica Yock

I am genuinely impressed with the astuteness of Grok, whether talking about politics (because it's better than talking with real people about such a hot topic), having it continue writing an unfinished story, or having it help you in the kitchen by adapting recipes to what you have on hand. It isn't always perfect...but then who is. I look forward to watching it develop.

it's quite great, AI is itself quite a good Creation, it's help and effects are everywhere, this one has a better approach to answers, not better exactly but a favourable Human output,..if there are anyone alone enough try talking to it , or if in academic or work related need, it would answer and guide You like a friend is. I enjoyed it, and it is helpful to me, truly a wonderful experience, no problems or difficulties yet faced tho.. everything has problems, let's see what this one has...
